Posting this a little late, but here's the progress on the comic. Keep in mind that the colors need massive revising.

ELY Comic

Doing a comic book for the ELY Illustration Exhibition at UArts. Here are the first 2 pages. Some of the color still needs some changes. I'll throw the sketches up on here too, just so you can see them from infancy to near adulthood. Soon they'll be collecting social security. They grow up so fast.

Sketching

Here are some sketches from assorted recent times in my summer sketchbook. Thought people might like to see some. The sketchbook is made out of mango paper from Costa Rica that my girlfriend got for me. I really recommend trying this paper out, it's really similar to the recycled sketchbooks they sell at most art stores. Ink goes down on it so well, so these may seem a little black-heavy, but I just loved the texture.

  

Danger Will Robinson!

Not wanting to slack off during my spring break, I drew some assorted stuff, one of which is this 3 color piece (I'm not counting black as a color). I've been watching a lot of Lost in Space lately, so I wanted to design something based around my favorite episode: The Great Vegetable Rebellion, where a giant carrot turns Dr. Smith into a stalk of celery. Yeah, you can't really get much more ridiculous than that. I designed it to be silk screened onto a shirt at some point. I had the line-art in purple for a while, but the black just looked so sleek and felt like a better choice. Tell me what you guys think.
